TENTING

Tenting is of the most inspirng parts of the River because with it sooner of later comes campfires.  Paddles go with kayacks and canoes; like campfires go with tents. Whether a bonfire on the sandy beaches in the lower Miss, to the Upper Woods with careful cooking and River camps, or the campgrounds strewn from northern to middle.

You Will Camp On The Banks of The Mississippi River.

Tenting in the woods you watch for ticks. Tenting everywhere you wear or spray for mosquitoes. But everywhere you go on the islands, the shore, the River Camps, the pay Camps, the River Angel havens, you camp.

Some of the greater stories and better recollections will be the campfire buddies you make tenting on the Old Muddy River "mississipping" you way down to ocean.
